Heyyy I'm Coach Shannon
I remember being a total newbie—my Cricut sat in the box for six months because I was just too intimidated to start. It was actually my husband who encouraged me; he bought it to save us from paying $25 per shirt! As a foster mom, I loved making my bonus kids feel part of the family, especially during the holidays, with matching T-shirts for everyone.
When I finally took that Cricut out, I discovered it wasn’t a printer like I thought, but a cutter—and I was clueless! My first investment was a Cricut class at Michael’s, which kickstarted everything. Back then, I had a home daycare, my two boys, and a house full of foster children. When Covid hit, I dove into crafting and never looked back.
Now, six years later, I’m a full-time crafter and business coach. I see so many newbies scared to take that first step, just like I was. It’s funny to think, if I hadn’t started back then, I wouldn’t have the journey and the testimony I do now. God had bigger plans for me, and I’m grateful every day.

Hey y’all, I’m Patricia Blackwell — born and raised in Virginia, and the other half of Busy Bee Crafters!
You don’t always see me front and center, but best believe I’ve been crafting, coaching, and creating behind the scenes since day one.
I’ve always had a crafty spirit (and a side hustle or two), but for me, crafting started as a way to unwind.
The peace it brought me was everything—the money? That was just the bonus.
I’m what you’d call the “social bug” in my circle. I love making things for my friends and seeing their reactions light up the room.
That joy? That’s what kept me going.
At first, I struggled to choose a niche—like most crafters, I could do a little bit of everything.
Sublimation was supposed to be the thing (especially since I even created my own sublimation paper!),
but God had other plans.
And let me tell you…
The very craft I’d been running from ended up being the one He called me to.
I finally buckled down, trusted His guidance, and focused on the one thing that makes sense.
Treats & party favors.
That’s when everything started to shift—my brand got clearer, and my sales started to soar.
I’m a proud mom of two boys and one girl, juggling a full-time job while running my crafting business.
Treat-making has become more than a hustle—it’s a creative outlet, a business, and my me-time all in one.
Through Busy Bee Crafters, I didn’t just find a business partner—I found a sisterhood that pushed me, encouraged me, and helped me level all the way up.
It’s been a journey—but it’s only just beginning.
And I can’t wait to share more of it with you this September in Detroit
